the field day
VIP Design Day
Field Days are high-impact, one-day creative sprints for busy business owners. They can be used one of two ways:
Option 1 / Mini-Brand Design: With this option, we’ll use the day to create a mini-brand (primary logo, secondary logo, and 1-2 submarks) to help get your business off the ground.
Option 2 / Collateral Design: Already have a brand in place but need some help creating collateral? We’ll use the day to tackle your design to-do’s, like social templates or icons!

Once you select and book your Field Day, I’ll send over a Project Questionnaire. We’ll hold a Planning Call the week before your Field Day to officially meet and answer any questions.
During our Field Day, we’ll hop on video calls as needed to get your feedback and make revisions.
You’ll receive all of your final files and any important information on how to use them by EOD the day after our Field Day!

THE WAYFINDER
Monthly Design Retainers
Retainers are built for businesses that have ongoing design needs, but lack the time and energy to deal with them (good news, I do)! Think of it as a monthly subscription to my services – I’ll act not only as your designer, but your full-blown strategic, creative partner. From design tasks to creative calls, you’ll have access to me as needed!

You’ll prepay a retainer fee each month for a set number of my working hours. Based on the package selected, I will block out my schedule with the right amount of time each month to get your tasks done and plan my workload accordingly.
I’ll always let you know if we are close to hitting our monthly hours. If additional time is needed for the month, we can always bill hourly (but we’ll ask first)!
Due to the nature of retainer-style work, unused hours expire at the end of each month. This is to ensure that I can allocate time for your (and other) projects each month and plan my workload accordingly.

Retainer hours can be used for most design projects, including print collateral, social media templates, digital assets, etc.
The only types of projects not accepted under the retainer agreement are larger scale brand or web projects. If you ever submit anything out of scope, we'll let you know right away!

Retainer packages start as low as 5 hours per month and go up to 20+ hours per month.
Retainer clients receive a discount for prepaying upfront, starting at a 2.5% discount for the 5hr package and going up with each tier.

My go-to example of “outdoor industry adjacent” is an elopement photographer: they work in some off-grid places, but they’re technically in the wedding industry. But I’ve also worked with companies ranging from wilderness guides to cookie dough entrepreneurs.
The important thing is: I never want the idea of an “adventurous” or “trailblazing” brand to feel exclusive. I don’t care WHAT you do, but how you do it. If you approach things differently than the industry standard – if you want to create a brand that doesn’t look like everything else on the market – we’ll be a great fit.

Nope, I don’t offer this! I don’t believe in design without strategy, because it simply won’t serve you well or have staying power. Through the extensive “Client Prep Work” you’ll do at the start of our project, I’ll be able to nail down all the vague preferences floating around in your brain and combine them with strategy to craft *exactly* what you didn’t know you wanted.

In short – yes!
After signing off on your project proposal and contract, a 50% deposit of the total project fee will be due before work starts and to hold your place in my calendar . Depending on the project scope and your budget, I can split the remaining amount into several milestone payments that work for you before handing over the final files. I accept payment through debit/credit card or ACH bank transfer.

Squarespace is my go-to recommendation for all service- and many product-based businesses. Not only does it have tons of flexibility on the design side, but it’s also extremely easy to manage and update moving forward. Squarespace has the ability to add plug-ins for pretty much anything you need - reservations, donations, you name it. It also has robust blog and e-commerce capabilities.
If you are a primarily product-based business with an extensive catalog, Shopify might be the better option for your business.During our intro call we can weigh out the pros and cons and work together to find the solution that will set you up for success!

Unfortunately, I don’t design websites for clients without doing their branding first. The process of launching a new website is pretty straightforward — as long as your site works well and looks nice, you’re good to go, right? Wrong 😶

Every package and project proposal will have clearly outlined deliverables so you’ll always know where we stand on what’s included and what’s not. Some examples of things that are generally not included are:
Copywriting
Font licenses
Premium stock imagery licenses
Brand photography
Printing costs (for any brand collateral)
Domain registration & renewals
Website hosting & platform subscriptions (Squarespace, Shopify etc.)
Advanced SEO
That being said, services like copywriting and photography can always be added on – just ask when you inquire! :)
