After a life-changing trip along the coast of Portugal, Heather of Joyful Rind returned home to Crested Butte with a renewed love of European cafe culture and a dream of bringing that experience to her little Colorado mountain town. Inspired by relaxing atmosphere, quality ingredients, and the simplicity of enjoying life’s joyful moments, Joyful Rind was born.

Heather came to XPLR Studios looking for help crafting a brand that attracted locals and tourists alike, while highlighting her dedication to artisanal ingredients and all-around good vibes.

We laid the foundation by creating a colorful and inviting brand identity that combines the colors of Colorado with the cozy aesthetic of any coastal Portuguese cafe you might stumble upon. We carried this identity into curated collateral and a custom Squarespace site complete with hand-drawn patterns and illustrations.
